Armor Masonry Restoration is a Certified WBENC Women’s Business Enterprise formed in March 2013. Our team of professionals is dedicated to restoring and preserving the architectural integrity of the fine buildings in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. We feel it is our privilege to have the opportunity to work on such unique and historic buildings in the Philadelphia metropolitan area that exhibit a rich history steeped in architectural styles of a bygone era.
For more than three decades, our highly experienced team has provided not only the highest quality craftsmanship. We specialize in every aspect of masonry restoration and preservation, including, but not limited to, brick and stone pointing, historic restoration and preservation, the installation of sealants in newly constructed and existing high-rise buildings.

Our Team
Connie O’Shea – President
Connie brings a fresh perspective to the company with over 20 years of experience in educational instruction and administration to the team. In addition to overseeing the general operations of the company, she applies big picture thinking to create goals and business strategies to ensure the company’s growth and success.
Gene Rose, General Manager and Founder
Gene has more than 30 years of experience in the masonry restoration and preservation industry. Gene is a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and attended Drexel University‘s engineering program, as well as being a part of the US Naval Reserve Construction Battalion.
Gene began his career as an apprentice, sponsored by Palmer Bros. Brick Pointing, and later earned his journeyman card working for various union companies such as Structural Maintenance, Joseph Dugan and Palmer Waterproofing. After many successful years of self employment and General Manager of Mara Restoration, he is back at the helm of a seasoned and experienced team that makes up Armor Masonry Restoration, Inc.
Gene is responsible for the day to day field operations, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, on schedule, and within budget. His direct field experience, together with his education and leadership ability enables him to lead Armor’s management team.
Brian Rose, Executive Vice President
As a founder and Vice President of Armor Masonry Restoration, Brian has helped Armor hurdle through a rigorous niche industry. His extensive business background and experience over the past 30 years has allowed Armor Masonry to be one of the largest and most respected restoration companies in the tristate area.
Among his other responsibilities, Brian oversees the business development, contract negotiations, and fiscal and operational aspects of the company. Brian provides strategic analysis and advice for continual, seamless, financial, and operational management.
Prior to starting Armor Masonry Restoration, Brian was an owner of a large, national distributor in the electric motor repair industry, servicing repair facilities throughout North America with OEM parts, copper magnet wire, electrical insulation and motors. He was successful in selling the company to one of the largest copper magnet wire manufactures, supplier and distributor in North America.
Charlie Cossman, Chief Estimator and Founder
After success with Mara Restoration as the Chief Estimator, Charlie comes to Armor with over 24 years experience in construction estimating, specializing in the masonry restoration trade. Accustomed with all aspects of the estimating process, from proposal composition and contract negotiation to purchasing and supervision, Charlie’s trade centered focus allows him to operate with greater knowledge and flexibility.
Gerald McNulty, Estimator and Field Superintendent and Founder
A key member of the Armor team Gerry is a masonry and construction veteran with over 25 years industry experience. Gerry’s talents are proven in the commercial marketplace, enjoying a long and successful career as a union estimator and field superintendent. Adding outside Project Management to his resume during his tenure as a commercial roofer, Gerry’s extensive experience is an invaluable resource for Armor.
Margaret Sharkus – Director of Operations
Margaret has been a part of the leadership team since its inception in 2013. As a veteran of the banking and lending industry for over 30 years, Margaret oversees the financial operations of the company through accounting and payroll. She also oversees staffing and human resources.
Gene Rose Jr., Safety Coordinator
Gene graduated from Penn State University in 2014. He is responsible for policy development, safety inspections and record keeping. Recently he has developed Armor’s silica program complying with local and federal regulations, started Armor’s safety committee and is responsible for monthly safety meetings. Gene is an enthusiastic member of many industry associations and was recently accepted to the Steering Committee of the GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council. His eagerness and continuing education will guarantee Armor’s ever-growing success.
Jacqueline Rose – Project Manager
Jacqueline brings over five years in corporate finance experience to the Armor team, using her expertise to assist with the oversight of the operations of the company. Her role is expansive, touching every department of the company from payroll to project management and site visits to business development.
She holds a bachelors degree in Corporate Communications and a masters in secondary education from Bloomsburg University. She also holds certifications from Business Development University and Workers Compensation for Managers – Brown & Brown Insurance. She continues to further her knowledge within the construction industry with classes in construction management and estimating at Thomas Jefferson University.
Gloria Mehler – Project Administrator
Gloria has been a member of the Armor team since 2015, bringing decades of experience in project management and purchasing in numerous industries. She is our in-house problem solver, overseeing numerous daily tasks including prequalification, proposals, billing, insurance certificates and endorsements.
Aaron Keller – Junior Estimator
As one of the newest member of our estimating team, Aaron comes to us from Tacony Academy Charter High School. Aaron is quickly learning about the industry from the ground up under the supervision of our senior team and works on bid take-offs on a daily basis.
Since joining the Armor team, Aaron has achieved numerous certifications through industry partnerships with GBCA, Hanley Wood University, SIKA, BASF and IMI. His certifications cover a broad array of topics including estimating, blue print reading, project management, caulking, sealants, concrete restoration, waterproofing, sustainability and green practices to name a few.
